HI, I’M CASSIDY!

I’m a brand, website, and email designer for retailers — and I happen to also be a retailer myself.

(I’M BASICALLY A BOGO DEAL.)

THERE *HAS* TO BE ANOTHER WAY.

I remember thinking that to myself during my (miserable) college summer internship, internally crying over not wanting to become yet another corporate sell-out.

It made sense. I come from a long line of entrepreneurs, so of course I didn’t want to sell my soul to a soul-sucking 9-to-5.

My family’s store, The Cook’s Nook, was my first job; from counting back change, to building the entire online marketing foundation, and everything in between. In a lot of ways, it was all I’d ever known — and, sitting there almost-crying at world’s most boring internship, I realized it was also all I’d ever wanted.

…almost.

I didn’t want to only work at The Cook’s Nook for the rest of my life — but I definitely couldn’t imagine a life where I wasn’t involved in retail.

Enter: marketing for my fellow retailers.

Back in 2018, I designed my first website, and dove head first into my own version of the world of entrepreneurship I knew so well thanks to the way I grew up, and I haven’t looked back since.

The hard work, unique lifestyle, unwavering dedication, and invaluable trust that defines small business is what keeps me feeling like this is exactly where I belong:

Here, in this nook of the Internet, helping retailers like you grow your brand online and off, so you can continue to serve your customers, sell out your products, and live a life you absolutely love as a small business owner.

where strategy meets style

I specialize in bridging the gap between stunning design and strategic marketing.

Because, no, you don’t have to choose — and, in fact, you shouldn’t. Visually appealing design paired with marketing made to work is the perfect way to grow your store online and in person; “making it pretty” actually MATTERS.

As an experienced retailer, I understand everything that goes into succeeding in this industry, and as a designer, I understand the importance of style playing a huge part in making sales

THE STORY BEHIND

Simply Lynn’s Creative

Naming my brand Simply Lynn’s Creative was, to put it simply, to honor my family. Lynn is both my mom’s name and my grandpa’s middle name, and the two of them have both been such impactful influences on my life.

From my mom, I learned hard work, resiliency, and how to be a tough cookie.

From my grandpa, I learned about what it takes to wear all the hats as a small business owner, what it means to help humbly, how to be a kind human, and how to stand up for myself.

Together, they’ve have helped me become the person + entrepreneur that I am today — and, through my work online and off, that person is someone I know they’re proud of.

Life outside of the creative retail marketing world

Whenever a new client signs on to work with me, I send a personalized, in-depth questionnaire in an effort to get to know them and provide them with the best possible end product — but, on every questionnaire, 3 questions remain the same, and, in an effort to help you get to know me, I wanted to answer them for you!

  • When I’m not designing brands, Shopify websites, or Klayvio emails, you can find me working on the latest live-in remodel my husband & I are building together. I LOVE to make the spaces I live in reflective of my style, personality, and beliefs.

And, lucky for me, my husband is a construction superintendent, so he has the technical skillset to make all of my visions come to life in our home.

  • I love to cook + am a foodie at heart... whether that's cooking in my own kitchen or discovering new restaurants. So, this question is almost impossible to answer — but I’m gonna have to go with anything italian!

  • My favorite place to shop is SMALL! One of my favorite parts of working with so many amazing retailers, is that I often find my new favorite place to shop following the launch of a project. Free People, Agolde, Perfect White Tee, Anthro style!

As a busy retailer, I understand how important it is to partner with a brand and website designer who just gets it.

You don’t want to have to explain how retail really works behind the scenes, or why a strong customer experience is necessary for your industry, or that Q4 is not the best time to implement anything too new because of you’re busy making all of your $$ during that season!

You’ve got enough on your plate — between inventory to process and team members to manage and how you’re going to fit a rebrand into your already-packed retail schedule — without having to worry about whether or not your designer understands your needs, let alone whether they’ll do things right, in a way that works for you and your business. And you know all too well how tricky it can be to grow in the retail industry.

To put it simply: it makes sense to work with a designer who already knows everything about the retail industry, growing a product-based business online, how to effortlessly market to your ideal customers and how to position your products as must-haves.

(And, in case you haven’t caught on yet — I’m that designer, and I would love nothing more than to help a passionate retailer like you grow your brand online!)
